World War Two morning
Thursday 14th September 2017
Today we were lucky enough to experience what life would have been like for a soldier during WW2. We re-enacted air raid warnings, how to defuse a bomb and how to fit your gas mask properly.
We had the opportunity to handle real life artefacts, such as a rifle, a pistol, grenades, helmets and talked about what life would be like for soldiers on the front line.
Some children had the opportunity to dress as Russian soldiers and soon realised how heavy the equipment was, when they had difficulty keepingthe belt around their waist.
We learnt lots of new facts and had a fantastic morning!
