Autumn Term

What a busy term we are having!  Holly class are busy preparing for their Christmas Nativity performance and the children are working hard to learn their songs, lines and dances.

Our topic this half term is 'Moonzoom.'  The children are learning all about Space and they have been finding information out about the planets and our solar system.  They will also be finding out about Neil Armstrong, the first man to land on the moon.

In our art work, Year 1 children have explored the work of Vincent Van Gogh, focusing particularly on his famous painting, 'A Starry Night.'  The children have worked hard to reproduce their own version of this famous painting.  Reception children have enjoyed creating their own planets using marbling inks as well as painting their own aliens and building space vehicles using junk modelling materials.
