Co-opted Governors

Mr Matthew Howard (14.05.2015)

I was elected as a Co-Opted governor in May 2015. I am Deputy Head teacher of the Federation. I have taught in different and varied primary schools for 17 years in Manchester, Portsmouth, Windsor, Leicester and Leicestershire. I have served on governing bodies in the past, including at a local High School, which gave me an interesting insight into Secondary education.

Mrs Sian Blount – (20.04.2016)

I became a co-opted governor in April 2016 after moving to Sharnford in 2015.  I have worked in the education sector since 2009 and currently work for Ofqual, the qualifications regulator. I was previously a governor at a city primary school before moving out of the area and found it a challenging and rewarding experience. I became a governor to find out more about how things work in schools, particularly primary, as my work has been mainly policy based. I also want to contribute to the local community and learn more about my local schools.
