Our Harvest Festival

Today the children led the whole school in celebrating harvest at Sharnford Methodist church. The children taught us all about the beauty of harvest through colour - the red apples, orange flames on a bonfire, yellow corn, green seeds, blue water, indigo grapes and violet plums! They also performed a play to show how colours shouldn't fear each other just because they are different; instead they should celebrate their differences and live in harmony - just as we should. The children spoke clearly and sang well and it was great to see so many parents at our service too. We had many notes of positive feedback from parents: 'Super Harvest Service,' 'The children should be proud of themselves,' 'Excellent singing,' and 'Enjoyed seeing autumn through the rainbow colours.'

Well done everyone and thank you to all our helpers for walking to the church with us!
