Today the children were asked to respond creatively and express ideas about God that they had read about in previous lessons. They had to think how to show their ideas using symbols, images and colours. There were certainly some very creative pieces made and the children put a lot of hard work into them!
Gallery Rebels: Damien Hirst style!
After looking at some of Damien Hirsts' unusual art work and doing a little research too, the children were challenged to make their own Damien Hirst style experiment. Using a mix of oil, water, gel, vinegar, salt and sugar, the children had to make a substance that would allow a small item to be suspended in the middle of a jar. We had a few failures - but even more successes - and the children had great fun trying out a variety of combinations!
Today the children began Roller Hockey again and showed that they were definitely building on the skills they learnt last year. It was a good first session and we look forward to many more!
Today some children from Y4 and 5 began Energy Club. This is an exciting club in which children get to be very active, whilst finding out all about keeping healthy and safe. The children had a fantastic time and were very involved in all the different activities!
