Miss Ellingworth was super proud of Hazel Class today. We persevered and performed the assembly beautifully. They sang superbly and performed using boomwackers. Well done!
Today Year 3's went to visit two places of worship. They looked at a Hindu Temple and a Christian Church. It was lovely to see the children asking different questions about their faiths.
As a focus for this half term we have been looking at the video 'taking flight'. We have been thinking about what the story could be about and made different story mountains as to what is might be. We then looked at the pictures and used adjectives to describe them. Once the video was shown we then used conscience alleys and freeze frames to help us understand the story.
Tomorrow we will be writing about what happened next. I hope the children can think of different exciting adventures for Tony and his dad!
Hazel and Redwood class enjoyed a morning session of celebrating Chinese New Year. We went through the story and the reason why we can celebrate it. Then we tried different Chinese food and created Chinese lanterns and lucky cats. It was lovely to see the children enjoying themselves.
Today we discuss how we can predict what is going to happen and how to record observations. We did this by showing how to make a lava lamp. We thought about what reactions could take place and how a lava lamp works. We observed carefully and recorded our findings.
