Autumn 2018

The Little Fir Tree

KS1 and EYFS performed The Little Fir Tree in front of parents and Governors for their Christmas Nativity. The children worked so hard learning lines and songs and we were all immensely proud of them. Well done!

Friday 23rd November

Today we had some visitors from the NSPCC to talk to Key Stage One and EYFS. They explained that some behaviour towards us is unacceptable and we discussed who we could tell if we feel uncomfortable.

Welcome back!  We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful half term.  Our topic in Holly Class this term is 'The Great Fire of London'.  The children will be learning all about the events of the great fire such as how it began, where it began and what happened as a result of the fire.  In art and D.T, we will create our own houses to replicate the houses in Pudding Lane in 1666.

Reception children will be learning about fire safety and the role of fire fighters.  They will also be looking at important festivals such as bonfire night, Diwali and Christmas.

All the children will be taking part in our annual Christmas Nativity and we will be starting rehearsals for this in the coming weeks.

Diwali Celebrations!

Reception Bonfire Pictures!

For this term, our topic is 'Marvellous me!' We have been learning how to create different colours and tints and tones to create some fabulous portraits of our classmates.

We will also be learning about our body parts and senses.
