All Saints Christmas Term Last Day

Well it is the last day of term today and we have had so much going on.

This morning Year 4 (Rowan Class) lead us in a fantastic Christmas Service in All Saints Church. Based on Michael Morpurgo's 'On Angel Wings', we were treated to some great acting and reading as well as some amazing singing performances. We want to thank Mrs Allen, Mrs Watchorn and Year 4 for all their hard work.

We also took the opportunity to thank two member of the school community, Mr Lawrence Watkins and Mrs Lynn Watkins. Mrs Watkins has been a dedicated governor for ten years now and has contributed greatly to the school in that role. Mr Watkins has been at the forefront of developing the school's gardens and plants, not just keeping them maintained but introducing successive years of children to the wonders of gardening and the natural world. Under his guidance the school has competed in local produce competitions, and has been a part of the "Sapcote in Bloom" campaigns. Everyone at the school thanks you both so much for your support.

Today we have also joined the Christmas Jumper charity day. Below we have a photo of the whole school in their Christmas jumpers. Not only did it look and feel wonderfully festive, but we have raised a lot of money for some very worthy charities. Thanks to all the parents, carers and friends who helped support their pupils with this.

All that remains is for the community at Sapcote to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. We look forward to seeing you all when we come back!
